In late 2024, I received a diagnosis that would cause most people to panic. While I certainly didn’t take it lightly, with God’s help, I was able to process the news and prepare to do my part. At the time, I was also preparing to launch Caribbean Travel Network (CTN), a global online booking engine focused on connecting vacationers with resorts worldwide, especially in the Caribbean.
The launch strategy was built on a dynamic marketing campaign using social media, email marketing, SMS, WhatsApp, and video. However, due to my medical condition, I quickly realized that executing such a campaign would be nearly impossible in my state.
After undergoing surgery and beginning to feel better, I was faced with an uncomfortable question: what can I do with the little free time I now have? Accustomed to staying busy, that question kept repeating in my mind. Then, the answer came to me—why not create a system to manage the marketing for CTN?
I needed a domain to host this new system. After brainstorming names, I suddenly remembered I owned a domain: simeya.net. It wasn’t in use, and just like that, I dove in and began developing.
As I built, I realized this system shouldn’t just serve CTN—it should serve any business. The idea expanded into a community-based marketing platform: Simeya.
Simeya is a platform that empowers individuals, businesses, and organizations to market their products and services by leveraging their networks. Everyone belongs to a network—family, colleagues, alumni, or nonprofits. Yet few of us truly engage these networks in sharing business opportunities or services, mainly because there’s no incentive. Simeya changes that.
Simeya incentivizes sharing by offering real, tangible rewards through a multi-tier referral system. Businesses can market for free on the platform and choose to offer cash and/or points-based rewards for referrals.
At the heart of Simeya is its reward engine. Every company or individual agrees to allocate a small percentage of their profits to reward those who helped generate those profits. This system tracks referrals across multiple levels.

Upon joining, you’ll receive: - Login credentials - A personalized QR Code - An SLR Card (your referral and network ID)
This grants access to all Simeya features, free of charge (except premium services like credit card processing).
Once you join, you are automatically assigned the Networking Plan—free of cost. This plan allows you to use all the marketing tools and start earning rewards immediately by inviting others to the community.
If you decide to sell on the Simeya Shop, you’ll agree to share rewards (usually 20% of the profit per transaction). 5% of that goes to charity.

Through clearly defined guidelines, sponsors can establish custom criteria, whether based on academic performance, financial need, or community service. This democratized model empowers the public to take part in shaping the future of Caribbean education.
Simeya recognized the power of this initiative early on and aligned its charitable focus accordingly. The platform now supports the scholarship program as its primary social impact initiative, integrating scholarship creation and management directly into the Simeya ecosystem.
